It's one of those RPGs from the last generation that has laid dormant for years now. It was an ambitious game to be sure, was fairly well-received, but also didn't gather as much attention as the developers wanted. But remember ALL LOOT IS RANDOM.Kingdoms of Amalur first launched in 2012 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. If you find items that you don't like or don't need, reload the save. When you enter the area all loot is randomly generated in the chests/enemies, so SAVE before entering a house/dungeon. You can manipulate loot in dungeons/houses and possibly other places in Amalur. If you are trying to loot a chest while in stealth mode but the percentage of being caught is too high/risky, simply press "B" to back out of the chest inventory and then press "A" to loot the chest again. Try to hunt down backpacks to have more room to carry them. Once you're about 10 hours into the game they should be pretty easy to find.
Instead just buy as many Repair Kits that you can find at merchants. When you need your armor or weapons repaired, don't wast gold paying smiths to do the repairs (they overcharge a lot!). You must know the move Upheaval for the long sword as well which is one of the first and most useful sword moves in the game. This requires both a bow (preferably of weaker stats) and a longsword.
